Lydia Andrews Moore

Mrs. Lydia Frances Andrews Moore, 77, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Mt. View Independent Methodist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. Brian Hauk officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Bear Creek. A native of Chatham County, NC, Mrs. Moore was born July 16, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Allen W. Andrews and Grace Poe Andrews. She was retired from Elastic Therapy Inc. She enjoyed doing yard work, cooking, and was known for her chocolate cake. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Andrews. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Rancie "Bud" Moore, Jr., of the home; daughter, Dorcas Lamb and husband, Kevin, of Asheboro, NC; sons, Keith McNeill and wife, Jackie, of Asheboro, Greg McNeill and wife, Jennifer, of Advance, NC, Anthony Moore and wife, Sharon, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Robert Lamb, Jennie McNeill, Shane McNeill, Justin Lamb, Blair Lamb, Katelyn Cohen and Drew Parkinson The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:30 pm Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Ridge Funeral Home.
