Lucille Morgan Mcneill

Mrs. Lucille Morgan McNeill, 89, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Crestview Wesleyan Church with Rev. Alvin Brooks and Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Moore County, NC, Mrs. McNeill was born September 26, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Thomas Morgan and Mary Jane Williams Morgan. She attended Melton School in Spies and retired from General Electric. She was a notary public and a judge for the Board of Elections. Her life was centered around her Christian faith. She was a charter member of Crestview Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed church activities, especially singing in the choir, with groups or by herself. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Newland McNeill. Mrs. McNeill is survived by daughters, Hilda Outen and husband, Rev. Danny Outen, of Asheboro, NC, Sylvia Williams and husband, Lawrence Williams, of Gastonia, NC; son, Timothy McNeill and wife, Janice McNeill, of Randleman, NC; sisters, Elzora Shore, of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary Etta Campbell, of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Dr. Scottie Williams, Tina Outen Elliott, Chris McNeill, Paige McNeill Beeson; great grandchildren, Blake Elliott, Owen Elliott, Jada McNeill and Starla Beeson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
