Louise Rice King

Louise Rice King, 92, of Asheboro, died Friday, October 30, 2020, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2020, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery, Asheboro, with Mr. Brandon Baker officiating. Born February 15, 1928, in Guilford Co., NC, Mrs. King was the daughter of the late William Franklin Rice and Mary Kelly Rice. She had worked at Acme-McCrary Corporation and later retired from Midstate Plastics. Louise was an excellent cook and was well known for her BBQ sauce. She also enjoyed mowing her yard and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Paul King, her sister, Berta Helsabeck, and brother, Frank Rice. Surviving are her sons, Danny P. King and Allison Stanley, Bruce King and wife Melody, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Lynn Baker and husband Brandon, Matthew King and wife Anna, Jana Allmon and husband Todd; great grandchildren, Raven King, Daniel Baker, Hailey Baker, and Oliver Baker. Mrs. King will lie in repose from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Ridge Funeral Home.
