Louise Johnson Cox

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Johnson Cox, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clay Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove. Mrs. Cox was born February 20, 1929 in Montgomery County. She was the daughter of the late Jasper Lewis Johnson and Effie Fagg Johnson. Mrs. Cox was a graduate of Seagrove High School, a member of Asbury Baptist Church, and attended Hunt's Plank Road Chapel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Arlon W. "Sug" Cox Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Diane Strider and husband, Donald, of Asheboro, NC; son, Michael Cox, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Mary Susan Auman, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Toby Strider and wife, Elizabeth, of Asheboro, NC, Tami Jobe and husband, Skip, of Asheboro, NC; great grandchildren, Hunter Jobe, Lanie Jobe, Molly Strider, Maddie Strider, Maylee Strider. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm Friday, July 27, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter.
