Louise Hackett Hussey

March 19, 1929 — April 11, 2012

Mrs. Louise Hackett Hussey, 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, April 13, 2012, at Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church with Dr. Ed Lindsey and Rev. Russ Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Gray's Chapel UMC Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hussey was born March 19, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Roscoe Hackett and Peace Staley Hackett. Mrs. Hussey was the administrative secretary at First Presbyterian Church in Asheboro for 34 years until her retirement. Earlier in her life she was the secretary for the President of Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. She also did volunteer work for Randolph Hospital and Hospice of Randolph. She was a member of Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church and a member of the Wesleyan Women NC East District Committee. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hussey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Hussey and her stepsister, Betty Morgan Robbins. Mrs. Hussey is survived by several cousins and close friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Friday, April 13, 2012, at Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brower's Memorial Wesleyan Church, P.O. Box 1352, Asheboro, NC 27204.
