Louise V. Allred

Louise Vuncannon Allred went home to be with her Lord on June 3, 2016, following a brief illness. She was born March 30, 1927 in Ulah, NC, to George and Vessie Chambers Vuncannon and lived her entire life in Randolph County. Louise was the wife of the late J.C. Allred, Jr. Always a hard worked, Louise spent most of her working life in the retail business, with Kings and later Roses department stores. In her retirement, she often mentioned how she missed working with the public. She was also a hard worker at church, serving in the nursery at Oakhurst and at Cross Road Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie. She is survived by her son, Ricky, daughter-in-law, Sandra, and grandson, John Allred, of Concord, NC. She is also survived by her brother, Tony Vuncannon, sisters, Barbara Winslow and Betty Hartman, all of Asheboro, and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 with Dr. Keith Hudson leading in worship. The family would like to thank all those at the PCU at Randolph Hospital and the dedicated staff of the Hospice House for the fine care that they provided for Louise and for us. And a special thanks goes to the staff of the Garden Wing at Carillon Assisted Living, not only for providing a fine place to live, but also all of the love and support that they have shown over the past year.
