Lula Mae "Lou" Garren Parrish, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel in Asheboro. Lou was born on January 23, 1964 in Randolph County, NC. She was employed at Clapp's Nursing Home and had worked at Klaussner Furniture for 32 years. She was hardworking and enjoyed riding her Harley, going to the beach and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Lee Garren, mother, Gay Williams Sluss, stepfather, Thurman Sluss, husband, Tony Parrish; and son-in-law, Chad Howard Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Lou Parrish of Asheboro, Lisa Mae Zuniga and husband Martin of Asheboro; son, Tony Wayne Parrish and wife Vanessa of Booneville; sister, Eleanor Faye McDowell and husband Billy of Denton; brother, Ronnie Garren and wife Sue of Asheboro; stepbrothers, Glen Willliams, Willie Williams; grandchildren, Juana Zuniga, Martin Zuniga, Alex Zuniga, Matthew Parrish, Ryan Parrish, and Ansley Parrish; great grandchild, Tony Zuniga; companion, Jimmy Ray Brower; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
