Lou Jean Owens Cross, 66, of Denton, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Lou was born on March 17, 1954, in Randolph Co. She was preceded in death by her parents, Imogene Fogleman Marley and Lawrence George Marley Jr. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She faithfully spent her life serving God and ministering to all those around her, for which she will be rewarded in Heaven. Her godly example and sweet spirit were a blessing to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Tim Cross of the home; daughter, Sherah Davis and husband Brian of Denton; son, Michael Cross of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Rebekah Davis, Charity Davis, Timothy Davis, and Teagan Holmes. Due to the restrictions on group gatherings, a private graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at the Cross Family Cemetery with Preacher Tim Cross, Preacher Brian Davis, and Preacher Jonathan Davis officiating. Lou's body will lie in state on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to The Russian Bible Society, PO Box 505, Skyland, NC 28776.
