Loretta Blankenship

Loretta Ann Taylor Blankenship, 60, of Asheboro, died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Charles Reeder officiating. Born September 30, 1956 in Tazewell County, VA, Mrs. Blankenship was the daughter of the late Walker and Edna Taylor. She was a resident of Asheboro for the last 19 years and was retired from Energizer Battery after 16 years of service. Mrs. Blankenship was very loving and kind, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an outdoor enthusiast and loved her pets, Zoey and Little Bit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleve Taylor and Danny Taylor. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her son, Ricky Mullins of Asheboro; sisters, Hazel Blankenship of Raven, VA, Carolyn Osborne and husband, Eddie of Rosedale, VA, Christine Harris of Council, VA; and granddaughter, Courtney Cook of Honaker, VA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Ridge Funeral Home, prior to the service.
