Lona Sweatt

Lona Mae Jones Hunt Sweatt, 86, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Mt. Shepherd Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Born August 18, 1931 in Rockingham County, Mrs. Sweatt was the daughter of the late Fred Orville and Ola Lunsford Jones. Survivors include her sons, James Hunt and Terry Hunt of Asheboro; adopted daughters, Barbara Harvell of Badin Lake, Renorda Taylor of Asheboro; stepchildren, Henry and Judy; sister, Phyllis Freedle of Asheboro; grandchildren, Jeremy Hunt, Amanda Hunt Cleckler, Jimmy Hunt; step-grandchildren, Laury, Melissa; and eight great-grandchildren.
