Lola Caudle Knott

Mrs. Lola Caudle Knott, 88, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Oakhurst Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Crider and Rev. Steve Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Knott was born March 9, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Richard Chester Caudle and Bertha Viola Kirkman Caudle. Mrs. Knott was a graduate of Campbell College and a longtime employee of Sears. She was an active member of Oakhurst Baptist Church. She helped with the Boy Scouts and the youth at the church. She was an avid camper and enjoyed doing crafts. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knott was preceded in death by her husband, Garland M. Knott, Sr., one brother and one sister. Mrs. Knott is survived by her sons, G. M. Knott, Jr., and wife, Judy, of Hermitage, TN, Richard E. Knott and wife, Janet, of Carolina Beach, NC, Ronn Knott and wife, Barbara, of Cary, NC; sister, Helen Cook, of Cary, NC; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 pm Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Oakhurst Baptist Church.
