Lois Jean Rich King, 77, of Asheboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Glad Tidings Free Will Baptist Church, Asheboro with Pastor Dale McCoy and Robbie Rich officiating. Burial will follow at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Jean was born on April 28, 1943, in Randolph Co., to the late Junior Odell Rich and Annie Lois Foster Thorp. She loved and adored her family and her dog "Sissy". She enjoyed nature and was known to have a really good sense of humor. Jean was a strong woman and stayed positive. She was patient and kind. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Rich, Odell Rich, Darrell Rich; and grandson, Tyler Spurlock. Jean is survived by her husband; Darrell Gene King of the home; daughters, Angela Timmons and husband Chris of Winston-Salem, Alyssa Pharis of Asheboro, Kimberly Hunsucker and husband Johnny of Asheboro, Karen Miller and husband Charles of Asheboro, Kathy Pacheco and husband Carlos of Asheboro; sisters, Carol Cranford and husband Vince of Asheboro, Linda Robbins and husband Tommy of Asheboro, Bonnie Sheffield and husband Willie of Seagrove, Sue Garner and husband Billy of Asheboro; brother, Ricky Rich of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joshua Hunsucker, Cody Lucas, Jacob King, Cali Pacheco, Matthew Hunsucker, Taylor Spurlock, Vanessa Pacheco, Lexie Timmons, and Jennifer Miller. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021, prior to the service.
