Lois R. Kearns

Mrs. Lois Ragsdale Kearns, 94, of Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Monday, May 7, 2012, at Randolph Memorial Park with Rev. Darrell Rabon officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Kearns was born August 11, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Asbury Ragsdale and Etta Strickland Ragsdale. Mrs. Kearns was a member of Sawyersville Wesleyan Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kearns was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Marvin Kearns, and her daughter, Linda Jo Kearns. Mrs. Kearns is survived by her daughter, Betty Zorn and husband, Duane, of Asheboro, NC; sister, Joanne Anthony and husband, David, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Deborah Lynch and husband, Scott, Steven Zorn; great grandchildren, Jennifer Lowe and husband, Micah, Adam Howerton, Kalie Lynch; great-great grandchild, Avery Lowe. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Betty and Duane Zorn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Randolph, PO Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204, Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, 157 Sawyersville Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
