Lois Forkner

Miss Mattie Lois Forkner, 86, of 1027 Redding Road, Asheboro, NC, died Monday, April 05, 2010, at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation Center, Asheboro. Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Bethel Friends Meeting with the Rev. Terry Kersey and the Rev. Tom Barton officiating. Miss Forkner was a native of Chatham County and was a member of Bethel Friends Meeting. She had worked at Asheboro Hosiery Mill and Bossong Hosiery Mill. Miss Forkner was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Essie Gardner Forkner, and a brother, Sam Forkner. Survivors include her sisters, Elsie Kline and Jeanette Hinshaw, and brother, Bobby Forkner, all of Asheboro. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Bethel Friends Meeting, 2519 Bethel Friends Road, Asheboro, NC, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
