Lois P. Byrd

Mrs. Lois Robbins Pritchard Byrd, 92, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, March 14, 2011, at Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Garland Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Byrd was born July 28, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Clark Milton Pritchard and Nannie Mae Robbins Pritchard. She was a longtime member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, and a member of The War Mother's organization. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Byrd, Jr., and her daughters, Brenda Pulliam and Roberta Lane. Mrs. Byrd is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Hughes and husband, Larry, of Asheboro, NC; son, Bobby Byrd and wife, Bienvenida, of New York, NY; brother, Jack Pritchard, of Bennett, NC; son-in-law, John Lane, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Tommy Dorsey and wife, Betty, Missy McGee and husband, Randy, Mirenda Lane, Todd Hughes and wife, Sheri, Michael Byrd and wife, Myrna, Jennifer Wall and husband, Brandon, Lois Byrd-Rondeau and husband, Scott, Tiffany Cooper and husband, Brian; and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
