Loanie Cannady Cole, 91, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Universal Healthcare in Ramseur. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, Seagrove, with Pastor Bill Simpson and Dr. Howard McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Sampson County, NC on October 17, 1930, Loanie was the daughter of the late Emerson Cannady and Matilda Jane Williams Cannady. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Ladies for Christ group. She was the bookkeeper for Paul's Supply Company and "Mama Cole" baby sat half of Randolph County. She also enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, Loanie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Cole; and 15 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Judy Bullins (Donald) of Asheboro; son, Eddy Cole of Asheboro and daughter-in-law, Pat Cole; son, Max Cole (Dawn) of Asheboro; grandchildren, Curtis Cole (Kelly) of Concord, Crystal Williams (Chad) of Sophia, Candace Curry (Justin) of Seagrove, Carissa Mercer (Harrison) of Mississippi, Caleb Cole (Meredith) of Locust, Elijah Cole (Tatum) of Jacksonville, Lindsay Bullins of Asheboro, Elizabeth Bullins (Alex Adams) of Asheboro; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Saturday, at Maple Springs Baptist Church prior to the service, and other times at the home of Judy and Donald Bullins.
