Lloyd E. Wilson

Mr. Lloyd E. Wilson, 69, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Good Samaritan Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Chatham County, NC, Mr. Wilson was born April 5, 1942. He was the son of the late James Bennie Wilson and Beatrice Pauline Hunt Wilson. He laid brick for approximately 26 years then went on to long distance trucking in 1979. He drove for Klaussner Furniture Industries and Caraway Furniture Industries. He travelled from coast to coast then decided to start driving locally for APAC. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Wilson, and brothers, Bennie Wilson, Wayne Wilson, James Wilson and George T. Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Judy W. Wilson, of the home; daughter, Deborah Lester, of Asheboro, NC; son, Jeff Wilson and fiancée, Stacey Taylor, of Whitsett, NC; sister, Linda Reeder and husband, Gerald, of Ramseur, NC; grandchildren, Stephanie Kellison and husband, Michael, Stephen Lester, Drew Snider and Brandon Snider. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, October 21, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice nurse Glenda Swails and the staff at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation for the loving care given to our loved one.
