Linwood Lawson

Linwood Jerryl Lawson, 66, loving husband, father and grandfather of Asheboro, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Born December 3, 1949 in Pitt County, Mr. Lawson was the son of the late Henry and Nora Lawson. He was retired from Eveready after 31 years of service. Mr. Lawson was a member of Sunset Avenue Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved his family and the Lord with all his heart. Mr. Lawson is survived by his wife, Ellen Lawson of the home; daughter, Rachel Powers of Asheboro; sons, Jason Lawson and wife, Kisha of Asheboro, Joshua Lawson and fiancé Sarah Sloop of Concord, Hugh "Hugh Bell" Lawson and fiancé, Teresa Herring of Asheboro; sister, Debra Hudson and husband, Thomas of Winterville, NC; brother, Allen Lawson and wife, Loretta of Vanceboro, NC;,grandchildren, Damian Jones, Cainan Lawson, Haley Lawson and Addison Dixon.
