Linda Rae Avels Skinner, 71, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury. Born in Los Angeles, CA, on May, 7, 1948, Linda was the daughter of the late Charles Elmer Avels and Frances Joan Summerfield Avels. She worked at Angels Homecare, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed making jewelry, dolls, and other types of crafts. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Skinner of the home; daughters, Lynnae Carrico and husband Roger of Asheboro, Crystal Batson and husband Ransom of West End; Sons, Michael Caldwell of Asheboro, Bobby Caldwell and wife April of Asheboro; brother Steve Avels of Yucipa, CA; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Memorials may be made to Randolph SPCA, 300 W. Bailey Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
