Linda R. Simmons

Mrs. Linda Ruth Robbins Simmons, 68, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at her residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, November 17, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. E. Keith Carroll, Rev. Donald A. Dawalt officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Simmons was born July 7, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Dolph and June Robbins. Linda had worked for the Asheboro City Schools and also owned and operated Covenant Book's & Gifts for 12 years, with her husband. She attended Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband of 47 years, Danny L. Simmons, of the home, sister, Esther Cooper, of Asheboro, NC, and brother, Coy Robbins, of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
