Linda Sue Rumley Roser, 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. She was born July 6, 1946, in Randolph County and was the daughter of the late Archie Lee and Bertha Garner Rumley. She was a graduate of Franklinville High School Class of 1964 and attended Greensboro College. Linda was a member of First Baptist Church, Asheboro and worked in banking, customer service and logistics in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. She was a long-time volunteer with JOY FM Radio Station and served on the Board of Directors for Greensboro Youth for Christ. Linda considered her fellow residents and staff at Woodland Hill her family and served as the President of Resident Council and was a member of the Resident Choir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Ruby Rumley and great-niece, Amanda Rumley. Linda is survived by her sister, Hilda Marley and husband Tom; brother, Harris Rumley; nieces, Paula Allen and husband Jeff, Donna Marley Clifton and husband Chris; nephew, Richard Rumley and wife Leisa; great-nieces and great-nephews: Benjamin Rumley, Beth Grose and husband Steven, Isaac Rumley, William Allen and wife Miranda, Matthew Allen and wife Jessica, and Meredith Allen and fiancé Scott King. The family will celebrate Linda’s life at a private graveside service on Friday, June 19, 2020, at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Hall and Rev. Michael Bentley officiating.
