Linda Starling Hicks

Mrs. Linda Carol Starling Hicks, 60, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Laura Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at West Bend United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Hicks was born December 18, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Enoch Ward Starling and Blanche Smoake Starling. She was a substitute teacher for the Randolph County School System. She also had worked as a Teller Supervisor at BB&T in Greensboro and Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Odom and her brother, Phil Starling. Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband, Conrad Hicks, of the home; sons, Thomas Jerald Stephenson and wife, Janell, of Asheboro, Andrew Darryl Stephenson, and girlfriend, Misty Trogdon, of Asheboro; and grandchildren, Alyssa Stephenson, McKenzie Stephenson, Delaney Stephenson, Maci Trogdon. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, August 19, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Randolph Co., P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
