Lillie York

Lillie Mae Routh York, 72, of Franklinville, NC, died Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Jeff Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.

Born in Randolph County, NC on August 31, 1953, Lillie was the daughter of the late Pearly Woodrow Routh and Betty Lee Cagle Routh. She was retired from Sopona. Lillie loved her hero, John Wayne, Her dogs, "Duke" and "Gracie", and most importantly her kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a sweet, genuine, and humble woman whose character was that of a Christian woman and believer of God. She was a member of Worthville Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clyde Joseph "C.J." York, Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie York, Sarah York, both of the home; son, Michael York (Rebecca) of KY; sisters, Martha Fivecoat of Randleman, Pearlie Sue Allred of Franklinville; brother, David Routh of SC; grandchildren, Kaitlyn York, Justin Fulton, Bethany York, Madison Fulton, Braylon York; great grandchildren, Da'Mari Gilchrist, Khyrie Gilchrist, Karleigh Gilchrist, A'Lani Graham-Payne, Navi Cooper, Evaleena Fulton, and Georgia Fulton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
