Libby Trotter Carter

Libby Marie Trotter Carter, 92, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Randolph Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, 4538 US Highway 220 Business N., Asheboro.

Libby was born on June 25, 1933, in Guilford County, the daughter of the late Walter Eugene Trotter and Isabelle Frances Bowen Trotter. She was a graduate from Franklinville School and Greensboro School of Beauty Culture. Libby also retired from Everready as an inspector.

In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her husband William Eugene Carter; sister, Betty Padrock; and brother, Roy Trotter.

She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Carter Swing and husband Dirk of Lexington, Pamela D. Gatto of Lewisville, NC; sister, Ronda Millikan and husband Jerry of Asheboro; brothers, Jerry Trotter and wife Barbara of Asheboro, Lonnie Trotter and wife Shirley of Asheboro; grandchildren, Adam Cohen and wife Katie Ford of Weaverville, NC, Nicole Gatto and husband Trevor White of Lewisville; great grandchildren, Tasman Cohen, Sage Cohen, and Silas Cohen.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.
