Lesia Wilson Nelson

Ms. Lesia Wilson Nelson, 90, formerly of Seagrove, NC, died Monday, November 5, 2012, at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living of Candor. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Woodfern Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Moffitt officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Seagrove. A native of Randolph County, NC, Ms. Nelson was born June 26, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Joe Thomas Wilson and Millie Davis Wilson. She retired from Luck Inc., loved cooking, gardening, and going to the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Nelson; brothers, Albert Wilson, Hobert Wilson, Walter Wilson; and sisters, Annie Butler, Daisy Sheppard, Dorothy Chrisco, Edith Richardson, Mary Ruth Dickens. Ms. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Melesa Nelson Wright and husband, Doug, of Seagrove, NC, granddaughters, Michelle Nelson Delk and husband, Scott, Kristy Nelson, Nicole Gallimore, Brooks Wright; and great grandchildren, Aaron Davis, Linzie Gallimore, and Andon Delk. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at 7449 Meadowbranch Road, Seagrove, NC.
