Lavern K. Nicoles

Mrs. LaVern Kate Adams Austin Nicoles, 89, of Randleman, NC, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Woodland Hills Care & Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Aaron Powers officiating. Entombment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Chesterfield County, SC, Mrs. Nicoles was born February 12, 1925. She was the daughter of the late William Jackson Adams and Mary Ella Nicholson. She was a homemaker and she was affiliated with Gate City Church of God in Greensboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard A. Austin Sr. and her second husband, John C. Nicoles. Mrs. Nicoles is survived by son, Richard A. Austin Jr., and wife Rhonda Morgan Austin, of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Jennifer Bilby, Richard J. Austin and wife, Trina, Tiffany Sutton and husband, John; great grandchildren, Kristen Bilby, Hannah Bilby, Austin Bilby, Gillian Austin, Brendan Austin, Brittney Austin, Jessica Sutton, Jelissa Sutton, Zachary Sutton and Trey Sutton; and great-great grandchild, Ellie Martin. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.
