Larry Clinton Maness, 76, of Salisbury, formerly of Asheboro, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Flag Springs United Methodist Church, Asheboro with Rev. Billy Jarrett and Rev. Harold Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born December 29, 1940 in Asheboro, NC, Mr. Maness was the son of the late Marvin C. Maness and Mava Purvis Maness. He was a former employee of Klopman Mills and was retired from Klaussner Furniture as plant manager. After retirement he worked at Pinewood Country Club. Mr. Maness was a longtime active member of Flag Springs United Methodist Church in Asheboro. After moving to Salisbury, he attended First United Methodist Church in China Grove. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nancy Seawell Maness of the home; daughter, Kimberly M. Osborne and husband, Donald of Salisbury; one granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Osborne of Wilmington; and brother, Eugene Maness and wife, Hilda of Bennett. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Flag Springs United Methodist Church Christian Life Center, prior to the service.
