Larry Vernon Lambe, 69, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at Accordius Health in Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Bob Schrecengost officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Grove Community Church, with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. A native of Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Lambe was born September 26, 1949, the son of the late Thomas and Merline Culler Lambe. He was a mechanic and owner and operator of Lambe Garage. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling and woodworking. He could fix anything. Mr. Lambe served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lambe was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Lambe. Survivors include his wife, Judy Poole Lambe, of the home; daughters, Kandi Hurley and fiancé, Otis Bowman, of Randleman, Dainya Erickson, of Asheboro; son, Larry Lambe, Jr., and wife, Anita, of Asheboro; sisters, Velva Parrish, of Granite Falls, Jean Moody and husband, David, of Swansboro; sister-in-law, Bonnie Lambe, of Asheboro; brother, Richard Lambe and wife, Ruth, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Danielle, Dixie, Josh, Samuel, Summer, Dustin, Cherokee, Angel, Dalton, Carmen, Isaac, Austin, Caden; 12 great grandchildren; "fur babies," Nellie, Jack, Bo, Fanny, Sweetie, Tuffy, and Trey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
