Larry Lester Hinesley, 80, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on December 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2024, at Victory Baptist Church, with Rev. Mark Wilburn and Rev. Jeff Norton officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park.
Born in Randolph County, NC, on November 27, 1944, Larry was the son of the late Alfred Hinesley and Buelah Gallimore Hinesley. He was a dedicated salesman for Thomas Brothers Ham, known for his unwavering positivity and genuine kindness. He possessed a remarkable ability to see the silver lining in every situation and always extended the benefit of the doubt to others, making him a welcoming father figure to many.
A passionate outdoorsman, Larry delighted in deep sea fishing, boating, camping, and skiing. These activities brought him immense joy and provided unforgettable moments spent with family and friends. He was deeply family-oriented, and his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, was undeniable.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sisters, Johnsie Bowman, Violet Key; brother, Steve Hinesley; and grandson, Darren Hinesley.
Mr. Hinesley is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gail Hinesley of the home; children, Tammy Hinesley-York, Kenneth Cain (Erika), Christopher Cain (Tonya), all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Estée York, Eden York, Avery Cain, Brody Ray, Brycen Cain, Dylan Stone, Mason Stone, Colby Cooke; great grandchild, Avelyn York; and his fur babies, Angel, Abbie, and Gracie.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home.
