Larry O'Dell Crisp, 72, of Asheboro, died Monday, February 10, 2020, at his residence. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Larry was born in Lake Co. FL, to the late Troy O'Dell Crisp and Marie Rena Marlowe Crisp. He had served two terms in Vietnam, he was a part of the 101 First Airborne Division and had retired from the army after 28 years. He worked diligently helping wounded veterans. He loved fishing, and had a deep love for his family and veteran buddies. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his canine companion "Sam". Surviving are his daughter, Catherine Bryant and husband Mark of FL; sons, Robert Crisp, Tim Fernandez and wife Lena of FL; sister, Carol Norman of Trinity; brother, Steve Crisp and wife Letha of Asheboro; half sister, Lynda Crisp Jones of Weaverville; grandchildren, Haili Fernandez, Jessie Bryant, Robert Fernandez, Jacob Bryant, Zackary Bryant, Alli Fernandez, Mekayla Dozier; great grandchild, Aliyah Fernandez; aunt, Shellie Chancey Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
