Larry G. Barnes, 74, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Seagrove, with Rev. Dave Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors being provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Born in High Point, NC, on November 23, 1941, Mr. Barnes was the son of the late Albert and Betsy Coe Barnes. He was a former Deputy Sheriff and was also self-employed as a paint and wall coverer. His greatest loves were his savior, Jesus Christ, the Bible, and his family. Mr. Barnes served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his son, William Gary "Billy" McMillian, brother, Bobby Barnes and sister, Peggy Bristol. Survivors include his wife, Clotele Barnes, of the home; daughters, Susan Barnes Flinchum, Tammy Riddle; sons, Ronnie Wood, Bobby Wood; sister, Martha Stinson; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 216, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to The Randolph Hospice House, P.O.
