Lacy "Gene" Allred

Mr. Lacy Eugene "Gene" Allred, 76, of Asheboro, NC, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at The Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Allred was born November 24, 1934. He was the son of the late Andrew Lacy Allred and Lucy Ella Childrise Allred. He was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church and had worked for Service Distributors. Mr. Allred is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Allred, of the home, sisters-in-law, Loanie Cole, of Asheboro, NC, Lula Pope, of Clinton, NC, and their families, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
