Mr. Kelly Linberg "K. L." Coltrane, 79, of Asheboro, NC, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Otwell and the Rev. Charles Phelps officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Coltrane was born April 4, 1932. He was the son of the late Nathan C. Coltrane and Essie Bame Coltrane Bond. He was retired from Klaussner Furniture and was a member of the Asheboro Masonic Lodge #699. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and he lived to eat. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Emir Elizabeth Coltrane and his son-in-law, Sam Cagle. Mr. Coltrane is survived by daughters, Linda Cagle, Ruth Ellen Lambe and husband, Kenneth (Richard), all of Asheboro; special companion of 4 ½ years, Ruth Ferguson, of Liberty; brothers, Roy Coltrane, of Siler City, Howard Coltrane, of Greensboro, Claude Coltrane, Ramseur; grandchildren, Christopher Sean Cagle and wife, Laura, Crystal Bowles and husband, Douglas, Sandy Crater and husband, David, Chad Steven Cagle and wife Nicole; great grandchildren, Elizabeth York, Carlee Cagle, Cole Cagle, Cobe Cagle, Caylyn Cagle and Olivia Bowles. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Friday, April 8, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
