Rev. Kenneth Walter Bauer, 104, of Asheboro, passed Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Dr. Scotty Carpenter and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Born in Camden County, NJ, on October 1, 1914, Rev. Bauer was the son of the late Walter William Bauer and Anna Schink Bauer. He was a minister in the Nazarene Church, the Wesleyan Church, and was a chaplain at Randolph Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Kovach Bauer; daughter, Ruthei Elaine McDonald; brothers, Wilmer Bauer and Robert Bauer; and sister, Gertrude Yeager. Surviving are his daughters, Claudia Mickel, of Asheboro, Fay Caro and husband, Mike, of Miami Lakes, FL; sons, Kenneth R. Bauer and wife, Jane, of Alabama, Paul Bauer and wife, Deana, of Asheboro; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
