Kelly Marie Brown, 39, of Randleman, NC, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor John Atkins officiating. A native of Randolph County, Kelly was born December 3, 1976. She enjoyed 4-wheelers, fishing and the outdoors. She loved spending time with her family. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her father, Michael Brown; her paternal grandmother, Frances Brown; and her uncle, Ricky Tatum. Kelly is survived by her son, Michael Hanson of Asheboro; boyfriend, Mike Owens of Randleman; mother and stepfather, Lydia and David Thorne of Randleman; sister, Lee Ann Hyatt and husband, Travis, of Asheboro; brother, Mike Brown and wife, Kerry of Randleman; maternal grandparents, Irene and Larry Hicks; paternal grandfather, Loyd Brown; aunts, Julia Puckett, Theresa Knotts, Joyce Grogan; uncle, Dale Brown; nieces and nephews, Michael Hallett, Hailey Brown, Katherine Allison, Haven Brown, Chase Hyatt, Marissa Vinson, and Brayden Hyatt. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of her mother and stepfather.
