Keisha Ward

Keisha Michelle Ward, 42, of Asheboro, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A private burial will be held at New Hope Memorial Gardens.

Miss Ward was born March 12, 1983, in Guilford County, NC, and had worked for years at the North Carolina Zoo. Keisha was a true blessing from God to her family, friends, and loved ones. She had the most kind and loving heart, always putting her family ahead of herself, making sure the were ok, especially her mother. She will be so missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Howard Cook; brother, Michael Ward; grandmothers, Hortense Shaw Hatcher, Emmilie Stephens; uncles, Ronnie Davis and Mark Poole.

Survivors include her mother, Linda Linder of the home; nephew and niece to whom she acted as a mother, Hunter Ward and Hailey Ward; nephew, Laythan Edwards; stepsisters, Lisa Linder Martin, Shelly Linder Talley; aunt, Kelli Stephens Glass (Chad); uncle, Larry Poole (Kathy); several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
