Kay H. Luther

Kay Frances Hammonds Luther, 75, of Asheboro, died Friday, February 3, 2017 at Randolph Health in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Petty. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Asheboro. A native of Guilford County, Mrs. Luther was born June 24, 1941, the daughter of the late Grover and Swannie Lucas Hammonds. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had worked at Sara Lee Corp. She was an avid bingo player. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Luther. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Luther Greer and husband, Kenny of Asheboro, Deborah Luther Hurley of Charlotte; and grandchildren, Jennifer Hurley, Drew Hurley, Cody Greer, Courtney Greer. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2017, at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
