Kathy Ledford

Kathleen "Kathy" Ledford, 67, of Asheboro, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Doug Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Memorial Gardens. Born July 5, 1949 in Wilkes County, Mrs. Ledford was the daughter of the late Allen and Gurtha Mast. She was a homemaker and avid gardener. Mrs. Ledford loved to go fishing, bird watch and go shopping. She had a giving heart and loved to make people laugh. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ledford was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Mast; sisters, Mary Etta Wyatt, Jessie Mae Wright and Rose Lee Dinsmore. Mrs. Ledford is survived by her husband, Howard Ledford of the home; daughter, Kelly and husband, R.J. of Trinity; sisters, Martha Williams and husband, Wayne of Richmond, VA, Joyce Conner and husband, David of Asheboro; brothers-in-law, Barry Ledford of Asheboro and Jackie Ledford of Jamestown; special nephews, Wesley Hathcock, Chris Conner, Payton Conner; and many other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home.
