Kathleen Jarrell

Asheboro Kathleen H. Jarrell Kathleen Texas Harris Hall Steed Jarrell, 93, of Asheboro, died Sunday, August 4, 2019, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Fonner officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oaklawn Cemetery. Born on October 9, 1925, in Richmond, Va., to Joseph Jay Harris and Minnie Golden Warren Harris, Kathleen spent most of her life in Randolph County. She attended Asheboro schools and retired from Acme-McCrary Hosiery Mill in 1988 after 38 years of working in the knitting department. Kathleen was a member of Russell's Grove Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and senior adult Sunday school teacher. She volunteered at Christians United Outreach Center and Habitat for Humanity. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas E. Hall, A.P. Steed, and Joseph Harold Jarrell; four sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Edith Hall Paterson of Australia; one stepdaughter; five stepsons; grandsons, Keith Bradley Paterson and Grant Thomas Paterson both of Australia.
