Kathleen Maness Davis, 85, of Seagrove, died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Fleshman and Rev. Johnny Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Moore County, NC on November 7, 1932, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Claude Herbert Maness and Mila Alice Beck Maness Setzer. She was raised by her grandparents, the late Walter Rufus Beck and Barbara Anna Cockman Beck. She worked at Burlington Socks and later retired from Victory Baptist Church Development Center. She was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church and a Sunday School teacher for 65 years. She was also a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents and grandparents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eben Davis; sisters, Carolyn Hart, Brenda McFarland, Billie Pope; and brother, Rufus Maness. Surviving are sons, Rev. Gene Evan Davis and wife, Teresa of Asheboro, Mark G. Davis of the home, sister, Betty Peele of High Point, uncle, who she thought of as her brother, Walter Rufus Beck, Jr. and wife, Ruth of Seagrove; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church, and other times at the home. Memorials may to made to Victory Baptist Church, P.O.
