Junior Moore

Mr. John "Junior"� William Moore, Jr., 83, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2013, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Moore was born May 12, 1930. He was a loving brother. He enjoyed smoking his pipe with his buddies at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation, where he was a longtime resident. Junior was preceded in death by his mother, Essie Mae Miller Moore; father, John William Moore; stepmother, Delphia King Moore; sisters, Mary Levitus Beane, Vera Chisholm; and brother, Gene Moore. Mr. Moore is survived by his sisters, Beulah Owens, Sue Newlin, Ruth Cranford and husband, David, all of Asheboro, NC; brother, Wayne Moore and wife, Sherry, of Asheboro, NC; and brother-in-law, Waymond Beane, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2013, at Ridge Funeral Home.
