Julia Luck

Julia "Judy" Nancy Lambe Luck, 93, of Asheboro, received her angel wings on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. JF Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Born November 13, 1922 in Randolph County, Mrs. Luck was the daughter of the late Joshua and Mary Dickens Lambe. She was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and caregiver. The most important things in her life were God and family. Judy always put other people first in her life. She worked with her husband, Clyde, at Pritchard's Feed and Seed Store. She was well known for her apple pies. In earlier years, Judy had been an active member of Central United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Luck, Sr.; six brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Myra Luck Homes and husband, Jim of Ruffin, NC; son, Gil Luck and wife, Ellen of Liberty; grandchildren, Anna Kerns and husband, Jim, Sara Hassell, Kara Luck; great-grandsons, Nathan Kerns, Joshua Hassell; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 300 South Main St., Asheboro, NC 27203.
