Julia Mae Johnson

Mrs. Julia Mae McLain Johnson, 64, of Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Frederick Timmons officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mrs. Johnson was born July 13, 1949. She worked at Wal-Mart for 22 years and enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Caleb Vickers Johnson, sister, Emma Brooks and brother, William Alsbrook, Jr. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Bertina Timmons, of Asheboro, NC, Nakasha Johnson, of High Point, NC; sons, Frederick Timmons and wife, Stephanie, of Austin, TX, Randall Timmons and wife, Carla, of Charleston, SC; mother, Betty Jean Alsbrook, of Asheboro, NC; sisters, Verlene Alsbrook, Etta Phillips, both of Asheboro, NC; grandchildren, Adrianna Butler, Nykasia Smith, Jermiah Stanback, Jerquarius Stanback, Montinique Monnay Timmons, Laron Timmons; great grandchildren, Aaron Timmons, Anthony Timmons. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Betty Alsbrook, 221 N. Elm Street, Asheboro.
