Juanita Vuncannon Loflin

Juanita Vuncannon Loflin, 71, of Asheboro, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Claudie Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Born in Guilford County, NC on April 10, 1946, Mrs. Loflin was the daughter of the late Edward Matthew Vuncannon and Treva Irene East Vuncannon Green. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Loflin was preceded in death by her son, Richard Marty Loflin; sister, Shirley Latham; and brother, Garland Vuncannon. Surviving are her husband, Joseph "Joe" Loflin of the home; daughter, Shannon Juanita Loflin Cox and husband, Raygene of Asheboro; son, Joseph Michael Loflin, Sr. of Asheboro; sister, Gail Cordel of Asheboro; grandchildren, Samuel Tate, Joseph Michael Loflin, Jr. and wife, Courtney Marie Loflin, Hannah Beth Freeman, Matthew Cox; great-grandchildren, Peyton, LilyAnnah, Cierra, Kindle, Aaliyah and Kayley. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home. Memorials may to made to Antioch Baptist Church, 148 Drum Street, Asheboro, NC 27205.
