Joyce Hill Mcgee

Joyce "Flossie" Faye Hill McGee, 84, of Asheboro, died Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 17, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Rev. Robert Armstrong and Rev. Arnold Luther officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery. Born in Randolph County, NC, on October 24, 1934, Mrs. McGee was the daughter of the late Blake Hill and Margaret Roella Hunt Hill. She was retired from Banner Hosiery Outlet Store. She was a member of Zion Praise and Worship Center. Over the years, she was very active in her church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her sisters, Hilda Hill Briles and Golda Hill Stephens, and brothers, Roy Leon "Corky" Hill and Bobby Franklin Hill. Surviving are her husband, James O. McGee, of the home; brother, Thomas Reid Hill and wife, Louise, of Sophia; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Amy Briles and Allison "Sissy" Stanley, both of Asheboro. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
