Joseph Ray Shaw

Joseph Ray Shaw, 70, of Asheboro, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. A native of Randolph County, Mr. Shaw was born May 19, 1945, the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Shaw. He was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Brenda S. Shaw; daughter, Julia Shaw; brothers, William Tillman Shaw and, wife, Betty, Robert Lee Shaw and wife, Betty, all of Asheboro; and one granddaughter. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home of Robert Shaw, 1786 Burney Rd. Asheboro, NC 27205.
