Joseph Lawrence Frazier, 96, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2022, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Mason and Rev. Brandon Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
Born March 21, 1926, in Randolph Co., NC, Mr. Frazier was the son of the late James Edwin Frazier and Esther Mae Dobson Frazier. He was retired from Galey & Lord and was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. He played guitar and later played bass as a member of the Good Time Band, loved to fish, and was an active member of the Civitan Club in Grantville. Mr. Frazier served in the US Army during the Korean War and retired from the US Army Reserve.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Frazier.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher S. Frazier and wife Terri of Broomfield, CO., David A. Frazier and wife Leigh of Sanford; grandchildren, Meredith Frazier Weipert, Taylor Frazier; great grandchild, Alexis Weipert.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Friday at Ridge Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service.
