Johnny Ray Stanberry

December 22, 1958 — January 27, 2014

Mr. Johnny Ray Stanberry, 55, of Ramseur, NC, died Monday, January 27, 2014, at Randolph Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Friday, January 31, 2014, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Ashley officiating, and military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. Burial will be at Liberty Road Baptist Cemetery. A native of Dekalb County, IL, Mr. Stanberry was born December 22, 1958. Mr. Stanberry attended Randleman High School and was a certified master mechanic. He served in the US Army, where he spent most of his time in Germany. After his time in the Army he lived in Illinois until moving back to Randolph County six years ago. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Stanberry. Mr. Stanberry is survived by son, Stephen Stanberry, of the home; daughter, Brittany Stanberry, of Indiana; mother, Edna Ruth Steele, of Asheboro; sister, Julie Snider and husband, Chris, of Asheboro, NC, brothers, Chris Stanbery and Mark Stanbery, both of Illinois. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Ridge Funeral Home.
