Johnny L. Hunter

Mr. Johnny Lloyd Hunter, 54, of 615 Mt. Shepherd Road Ext., Lot #6, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at his residence. A funeral service is scheduled for 5:30 pm Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Hunter was born December 16, 1955. He was the son of the late Harry Wilburn Hunter and Edith Claudine Brady Hunter. Johnny was formerly employed with Klaussner Furniture and Mid State Toyota. He was a member of Balfour Baptist Church. He enjoyed weightlifting and Carolina Panthers football. He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Brown. Mr. Hunter is survived by his wife, Irma Hunter, of Asheboro; daughter, Whitney Hunter, of Asheboro; son, Andrew Hunter, Jason Hunter, John Hunter, all of Asheboro; stepdaughter, Laura Pacheco, and fiancé, Terrell Patterson, of Asheboro; stepson, Jorge Pacheco and wife, Samantha, of McLeansville; sister, Rebecca "Brownie"� Freeman and husband, Walter, of Asheboro; grandchild, Alyssa Pope, of Asheboro. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, NC 27203, to assist with final expenses.
