John Yow

Mr. John Yow, Jr., 86, of 824 Corwith Street, Asheboro, NC, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Beane officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. Mr. Yow was a native of Davidson County and was a member of Foster Street Wesleyan Church. He was retired from Rampon Products and had served in the US Air Force during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Reeder Yow. Survivors include his son, Eugene Medford Yow, of High Point, sister, Bernice Yow, of Asheboro, and two grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2010. Memorials may be made to Foster Street Wesleyan Church, 214 Foster Street, Asheboro, NC 27205.
